SHOOTING SANDY GROUND ST MARTIN ST MAARTEN LATE BREAKING NEWS
SANDY GROUND, St. Martin - The community of Sandy Ground is now mourning the death of another young man after a violent incident on Early Saturday.
Persons in close proximity to the incident reported hearing up to six gun shots early Saturday which resulted in the death of a young man a.k.a. Phats.
The fatal shooting is said to have taken place at a bar in the district, in close proximity to the basket ball court.
It is also said that the shooter arrived on a scooter and shot randomly in the direction of the bar resulting in the violent death of the young victim who is said to have been struck by up to three bullets in the region of the upper body.
The shooting took place just after 12am Saturday and after being rushed to the Louie Constance Fleming Hospital, the victim who is also said to be in his early twenties, died at approximately 2am.
Up to the point of this report there have been no official word from the Gendarmes confirming or providing any information on this incident.
